My name is Tryg Verran and I have over ten years experience working with a number of international institutions in South East/ East Asia. I have designed and facilitated a number of bespoke courses specifically engineered to help develop your skills with language and literacy across a number of general or academic levels; including iGCSE, A-level, IELTS, CAE qualifications, as well as undergraduate and post-graduate modules.
I am currently a PhD candidate working with Creative Practice and I consider myself both passionate and genuinely enthusiastic about learning and teaching. I can help you with the basics, such as improving essay writing skills, or more advanced issues with critical reading. I am approachable, friendly and professional – and best of all I can help you achieve the results you need.
I hold a BA in Creative Writing and English Literature (First Class Honours) and a Masters in Comparative Literature (Distinction), I look forward to hearing from you.
STUDENT TESTIMONIES:
“Thank you Tryg, for all your help and support for my essay. I just got my mark back now and I got 90% which gives me an A +. I am so stoked!!!! Seriously could not have done it without you!”

“To be honest, I think my interest in a textually analytical field like International Affairs can be traced back to the Social Criticism class you taught. That class genuinely opened my eyes and changed the way that I consumed content and interacted with information. The habits I acquired during that time have definitely carried over, and I am very keen on being able to apply those skills in whatever careers I pursue in the future.”
Schawin, LSE, MSc International Affairs, September 2021
