My a’th Kar recognizes the fundamental interdependence between the creative practice of artists and the communities in which they live. Shared visions, rituals, projects and festivals are vital to building a sustainable culture. Such activities encourage us to reconsider forgotten moments of the past, as well as reassemble new ideas for the future.
Inspired by numerous object-oriented philosophies, Tryg Verran is experimenting with a variety of media in order to give narrative form to our relationships with the non-human other. In essence, can communities articulate the post-Anthropocene? How can we as people meaningfully reconfigure our perception of the universe in order to work towards a more harmonious, sustainable existence?
